What do you do in the salon?
As well as looking after the business side of things, I work closely with Raquel to ensure that we are giving the best client experience possible.
Why did you get into the health and beauty sector?
I have worked as the salon's business advisor for Donna wicks for 3 years and had always been impressed by her commitment, her passion for what does and the quality of treatments that she and the team provide. When Donna first mentioned about selling the business, I jumped at the chance of getting involved.
What’s your ultimate pampering experience?
One of Raquel’s massages!
Who would you invite to your fantasy dinner party?
Richard Branson would be the guest of honour. It would be great to swap business tips.
What’s favourite holiday destination?
Steve [Linda’s husband] and I had a fantastic holiday travelling around California. A real adventure!
Which celebrity would you like as a client?
Not being hands on I’m not sure I can answer that but if Hugh Jackman wanted us to look after him, he wouldn’t be turned away!

Salon Manager
What do you do in the salon?
I work as the salon manager, offering a range of treatments and overseeing of the salon and its staff. My treatments range from waxing, massage, facials including Nuderm, reflexology, spray tans, hand and feet treatments and eye treatments.
What days are you in the salon?
I work on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays in the salon.
Why did you get into the health and beauty sector?
I have always been interested in holistic and massage treatments. I qualified as a fitness instructor and started having an interest in massage and how to improve your wellbeing, and helping clients to feel their best self and time to relax.
What’s your ultimate pampering experience?
A full body massage and facial!
Who would you invite to your fantasy dinner party?
Brad Pitt for sure!

What do you do in the salon?
I am a salon therapist. I offer services such as: Massage treatments, Facial treatments, Waxing, Eye Treatments, Spray Tans and Hand & Foot Treatments
Why did you get into the health and beauty sector?
I love giving people makeovers and helping them feel more confident in their own skin.
What’s your ultimate pampering experience?
Definitely an outdoor spa day in Budapest.
What's your favourite treatment you provide to clients?
I love doing wax treatments because I find it very fun and satisfying.
Our Story
Sheer Bliss is the rebranding of Holistic Health and Beauty.
Launched by experienced Health professional Donna Wicks, Holistic Health and Beauty has been in the heart of Cramlington community for the past 9 years. Ignited by her passion to make her clients feel better about themselves both physically and mentally, Holistic Health and Beauty started as a therapy centre but in line with demand has increased its range of beauty treatments.
In 2019, Linda Lowther took over the salon from Donna Wicks, infusing it with a fresh perspective and renewed enthusiasm. With a change in management, a new chapter began for the salon. Linda is a highly regarded business advisor in the North East area.
as her business advisor for Donna for 3 years, Linda took over ownership of Sheer Bliss in September 2019 and invested heavily in a complete refurbishment.
As Linda says:

We’ve listened to our clients. Our clients have told us what treatments they would like and then we’ve trained our fully employed therapists in those treatments."

The salon stands as a sanctuary of sheer bliss and tranquillity, catering to the diverse needs of the surrounding area.
Regarding being in Cramlington,
“We love being based in Cramlington and feeling part of the larger community.
We have a very loyal client base. I’ve still got clients who I first started working with 17 years ago when I joined the industry, which is such a lovely compliment to myself and the salon.
The Salon caters for everyone whatever their age. Our youngest client is 11 and our oldest is 93! With the new treatments that we have brought on board recently we’ve found that we are attracting a younger clientele – which is great!”
The Sheer Bliss rebrand reflects the combination of holistic treatments with a full range of beauty treatments.
Sheer Bliss is the result of working closely with Linda Lowther.

Linda is committed to keeping up with industry trends and developments. They achieve this by attending trade events and devouring health and beauty magazines. Already for 2023, Sheer Bliss are looking at a new facial brand, more holistic therapies and builder gel treatments.
With a firm belief that true beauty radiates from within, Linda and her dedicated staff remain dedicated to providing exceptional service and a place of respite for the community of Cramlington.
